Century 21 UK and Coronavirus (Covid-19)

As the situation with Coronavirus unfolds, we would like to reach out to our offices and customers about what we are doing at Century 21 UK to support you. Our highest priority is to protect our team, our offices and our customers and make sure we all do everything we can in the fight against Coronavirus. Each day we are adapting to new government guidance, but here’s what we doing so far:

Our offices

All our offices are now closed but they are still available for support over the phone and by email. We are in touch with our offices every day and are keeping them updated with the latest government guidance.

Properties for sale and let

We are continuing to market properties locally, nationally and internationally. We have the added advantage of marketing properties on our Century 21 global website for overseas buyers or tenants and will continue to market properties on Rightmove or Zoopla.

Being part of the SDL Group, we have a further advantage of our offices having the option to work closely with SDL Auctions to sell properties remotely via online auctions, which is ideal for those finding themselves in a situation where they need a quick and secure sale. Sellers and buyers

Coronavirus is amplifying what is already a stressful time for sellers and buyers and we will do everything we can to help you through this time. Our offices have the expertise and support of the SDL Group to advise if needed.


In-person viewings will not take place over the lockdown period. We are working with offices on virtual tours, whilst strictly complying with social distancing.


As your managing agent, tenants having issues paying rent must contact their local office. Ee are here to help and we are encouraging our offices to reach out to all tenants. The government has issued emergency legislation to protect tenants from eviction. For more information please take a look here.

Our office teams will only enter homes in the event of an emergency, maintaining a physical distance of 2 metres at all times. More information about this is available on our FAQs.


The government has put into place measures to protect both tenants and landlords throughout this national emergency, from not allowing tenants to be evicted to a 3-month mortgage holiday for landlords with struggling tenants. It’s a difficult time for all but we are so proud, here at Century 21 UK, to see so many of our landlords working with our tenants. I encourage landlords to maintain communication with their local office during this time to get the support they need.

I hope that these measures give us all the best chance of reducing infections and helping the UK to get the Coronavirus under control, but in the meantime please stay safe and do everything you can to stay at home.
