Understanding The Renters Rights Act
At Century 21 UK we understand that The Renters Rights Act has implemented the biggest change in the lettings industry since the Tenant Fee Act in 2019.
We are helping our clients navigate thier way through this important peice of legislation. Here are the main changes:
1) No more fixed term tenancy agreements.
2) No more non fault evictions via Section 21.
3) Rent increase restricted to once every 12 months via Section 13.
4) All notices are served on a section 8 including two new grounds for owners to sell and move back in.
5) Landlord ombudsman. This starts to form towards the end of 2026.
